Responsibilities
- This science writer position is part-time/remote/contract.
- You’ll choose which topics to cover from our content calendar.
- You’ll write in-depth, well-researched, and scientifically-sourced articles on the chosen topics.
- Set your own schedule.
- Get paid for every written article.
Requirements
- Experience in doing in-depth academic research in psychology or related graduate programs.
- Degree(s) in psychology, counseling, child development, or other related departments. (M.A., M.S., Ph.D. preferred)
- Have an online presence (e.g. author elsewhere) or want to build one.
- Can write about scientific topics in an accurate and yet easy-to-understand way.
- Back up facts with credible studies and cite them correctly.
- Enjoy writing about parenting issues.
- Have a child-first mindset.
- Detailed-oriented, professional writing style, and good grammar/spelling.
- Can use Google Scholar and any publicly available research sources.
- Can use or learn to use Google Docs.
